Mino is one of the founding partners of the Firm, qualified as a lawyer in Italy and a solicitor in England and Wales. During his career, he has been involved in some of the largest transactions in Italian finance in recent years and facilitated the entry of several international investors into Italy, as well as assisting on the arrival of several Italian companies in the UK.
He advises investment funds and asset managers, banks, financial intermediaries and other qualified investors, mainly in cross-border structured finance transactions with liquid and illiquid underlyings, with a focus on alternative and high-yield investments.
Prior to founding Lexsential, from 2014 to 2020, he contributed to the opening and development in London of another important Italian law firm born from the spin-off of one of the ‘magic circle’ firms.
A Bocconi graduate (summa cum laude) and recipient of the ‘Pietro Lecciso’ award, in his experience of over fifteen years in the banking & finance departments of leading Italian and international law firms, he has been involved in: (i) the acquisition and assignment of receivables (performing and non-performing, but also trade receivables and all other types of receivables) and many other assets, including individual and bankruptcy enforcement proceedings; (ii) the structuring and restructuring of securitisation transactions (of all types) and of undertakings for collective investment (OICR); (iii) the issuance of corporate bonds (including mini-bonds and basket-bonds, secured and unsecured) and other financial instruments representing equity and debt.
He has also dealt with bank bail-outs, financing and refinancing transactions (domestic and international), corporate crises and turnaround processes, debt restructuring and asset management.
Moreover, he has gained significant experience in real estate – with residential, commercial, hotel and infrastructure developments and conversions (e.g., healthcare and energy), both greenfield and brownfield – with a range of solutions ranging from pre-equity to real estate funds, from ReoCo to SVCs pursuant to Articles 7.1 and 7.2 of Law 130/1999.
