Sofia has dual Italian and French citizenship. After her thesis dissertation in European Intellectual Property Law, she graduated in law with honors, in 2015, from the University of Catania. In 2016 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law (MDPI) at Just Legal Services in Milan. In 2022, she attended a course organized by Stanford University (Palo Alto) Understanding U.S. intellectual property law.
Sofia’s international profile (in being perfectly bilingual) and her extensive experience in litigation management and out-of-court assistance to clients in intellectual property matters, make Sofia an excellent partner for support in a wide variety of IP matters, including multi-jurisdictional ones.
In particular, Sofia deals with the protection of trademarks, patents, designs, unfair competition, copyright, trade secrets and know-how both from a civil point of view (before the Specialized Sections on business matters of the Courts and National Courts), and from an administrative point of view (before the UIBM, Board of Appeals, EUIPO, WIPO).
Sofia previously worked in the offices of renowned professors in intellectual property law: first at the office of Prof. Di Cataldo in Catania for over 2 years and then at the studio of Prof. Mario Franzosi in Milan for over 6 years. She is also a lecturer for Convey, in the preparation course for trademark and patent attorneys and specialised seminars in the field of industrial property.
She is the author and co-author of articles in the field of industrial property. Member of LES Italia (Licensing Executive Society), AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) and participated in the mock trials organized by Young EPLAW in Brussels.
